Are you happy?' the disembodied voice asks Eve one night; and the next day, that same question haunts this normally complacent wife of Adam as she packs his lunch. When she asks her only friend Stan­the quintessential salesman and card player­about this question, his answers encourage her to think about life beyond her seemingly perfect garden.
